Janne Kyttänen’s Fibonacci 1597 Lamp

Thursday, 18 March 2010

1597 Lamp by Janne Kyttänen.  Finnish designer Janne Kyttänen created the coneflower-like ‘1597’ lamp.

Kyttänen based this organic design on the ‘golden ratio’ formula of medieval mathematician Leonardo Pisano Bogollo, also known as Leonardo Fibonacci.

The 1597 Fibonacci lamp is made from laser sintered polyamide. Other parts from the light also originate from recycled items like switches, cables and metal parts. It comes in two different diameters; 32 or 50 cm.
