Moss carpet in bathroom by Nguyen La Chanh

Green moss carpet by Nguyen La Chanh. Nguyen La Chanh‘s moss carpet mini lawn for bathrooms.

The base of the moss carpet is made of imputrescible foam called plastazote. Each cell gives space to a piece of moss (Island moss, ball moss or forest moss). The humidity of the bathroom and the drops flowing from the body, ensure that the mosses thrive. One could use another material which won’t rotten, however La Chanh chose this special foam to avoid having fungus starting growing because of the humidity. It’s also softer when the feet are in contact with it.

Walking on this fresh moss doesn’t only increase our blood circulation but simply feels good. What a great and green start of the day!

Another cool invention by Nguyen La Chanh is this three parts injected plastic frame called Tasty Frame:

Suspend it on your kitchen’s wall or just lay it down horizontally. You can grow aromatic herbs in it such as mint, coriander, basil or chive. This is a little fresh kitchen garden bringing nice tastes to your dishes.

La Chanh is an industrial designer living in Yverdon, Switzerland. See more of her work here:
