As more and more jobs involve surfing the internet, it is about time that ergonomically designed work stations become available for all of us. Thanks to numerous pillows to support every part of our bodies, the surf chair seems to be a most comfortable alternative to sitting upright, facing our monitor, for many hours at a stretch in a day.

Lylover's and Sorensen's 'The Surf Chair®' was winner of "Best Product" – Internet Collection at the Scandinavian Furniture Fair 2000 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The surf chair was covered in several Danish and international magazines and news papers as Politiken (DK), Danske Møbler (DK), Form (S), Wohnen (A) and Shotenkenchiku (J) among others.

Kenneth Lylover has both a national as well as an international background; BA in Industrial Design from Designskolen Kolding, Denmark and a MA in Industrial Design from Central St Martins College of Art & Design, London, UK.

The Surf Chair® has been developed in collaboration with industrial designer Leif Sørensen for the ‘Internet Collection’ competition at the Scandinavian Furniture Fair 2000. Among 15-20 other designs from the Internet Collection talent zone it was nominated ‘Best Product’ and covered in several renowned magazines.

Although the SurfChair has already been introduced in 2000 for the first time, it's getting renewed attention again from medias all over the world. However, up to today it still remains a conceptual design.
