Everyday Spirituality and the You that tumbles down (by Kip Mazuy)

Bricks falling, demolition. (Sxc.hu)Kip Mazuy talks about everyday spirituality and the ‘you’ that has to tumble down.

Question:
I can do the being in the moment thing. In fact, I find it hard to come back to the unconscious world I used to abound in. It is affecting my career, my ‘game playing’ that is essential to put food on the table. As I surrender, I realize that none of this really matters. So now what? "Continue to chop wood and haul water?" Even a glimpse into the enlightenment window is enough to have the illusions start to tumble down.

Answer From Kip Mazuy:

It is very good
that the illusions are tumbling down.
But allow the "you"
to also tumble down.

The one that asks "so now what?"
the one that wants
to remain in the absence of world
all of the time.

For this is the ego,
it is still a resistance
to what is,
a separation
of what is.

Spirituality
is not escapism.

Spirituality
is to embrace life,
to be absolutely present
in every situation.

You will find
that the chop wood
and carry water,
the providing for your family
is devotion to presence itself,
service to presence itself.

You will find that in the surrender
of ego that you will love your work
and providing for your family.

You will feel a love
for everyone and everything
and will know that what you do,
as simple as washing the dishes,
driving to work,
typing on your computer,
is an expression of unconditional love.

The very nature of consciousness
is unconditional love, peace and bliss.
And when this realization
begins to flower
in your heart
you will find a whole new level of
awareness and clarity
that will change the perception
you have now.

You will experience the same
beauty in everyday life
that you enjoy in stillness.
